We are both delighted and excited to announce the long awaited re-opening of Kevin Nash’s famous Copse Lake.
This intimate lake of 1.75 acres has a special place in UK carp history, having produced an incredible ten 50s and a mirror of over 60lb in its heyday. It was the filming of Kevin’s DVD The Final Account where he banked a UK record brace of surface caught 50-pounders in just ten minutes that showcased the incredible stock the Copse contained.
Sadly, the lake went into decline, becoming heavily weeded and silted, so the decision was made to drain and completely remodel the lake in 2018.
An extensive stocking programme has followed with carp hand picked from the best bloodlines for their beauty and individuality. Test fishing has already produced carp averaging low 30s and with fish over 40lb sighted.
